Adam Mullen currently offers music lessons to students and community members in the Portland metropolitan area. Adam has been giving private lessons since 2011.

Lessons given by Adam are high quality and consist of prepared material given to the student from lesson to lesson. Emphasis is given to singing, buzzing, and etude playing. A daily routine is introduced which focuses on fundamentals essential to every musician that help build on important concepts. These concepts are then applied to lesson material as well as music from the student's music class at school. Adam has extensive knowledge of brass pedagogy and can teach all brass instruments. This comes from both Adam's background in music education and music performance.

Adam also offers music theory lessons for students wanting to brush up on their theory knowledge, or to prepare for IB Music exams.

Students of Adam are regularly selected and participate in District Solo & Ensemble Festivals; as well as regional auditioned performing groups such as WIBC, All Northwest, and All State.

At the 2016 State Solo Festival, one of Adam's students placed 3rd on euphonium. Another student's brass quintet qualified and performed at the 2016 State Ensemble Festival. At the 2017 State Solo Festival, one student placed 4th on euphonium, while another student placed on trombone. Two of Adam's students participated in a brass quintet at the State level, as well. In 2018, at the State Solo Festival, one student placed first on euphonium, while another placed third on tuba. Three of Adam’s students performed at the 2019 State Solo Festival, with one of them receiving first on euphonium. Two of Adam’s students qualified to play at the State level, but were unable to perform at the State level due to the cancellation of the State Solo Festival. Seven of Adam’s students were selected for the All-State Symphonic and Wind Ensemble in 2020. Several of Adam’s students were selected for All-Northwest and WIBC in 2021.
